But the vast majority of California DC capable EVs in five years will be CHAdeMO, unless Nissan changes its plans in the near future.

In any case, the standard will be largely irrelevant, as lobbyists from car manufactures who have not built any DC capable EVs, and have no current plans to build them in any volume, have already burdened this program with the costs of adding SAE compatible chargers.

And if you have one of these "compliance" SAE-DC EVs, or a suitable adaptor for your Tesla S, you should be able to use the NRG charge sites.
