I've never heard of such a car before. Are they talking about the Volt? :?

His car doesn’t run on gasoline but uses natural gas and an electric battery, allowing him to use HOV lanes as a solo driver.

It shows a pic of a Volt. There aren't any hybrids that I know of that use CNG and a battery pack. He won't be able to drive here (legally) in the HOV lanes.

Looks like the article has been edited

Sounds like either a Honda CNG or he has had a CNG retrofit. A CNG powered vehicle can get the white HOV sticker.

Typical clueless media reporter that has their facts wrong. It's either a CNG car or an EV. If it's one of the new Volts that GM has re-engineered to qualify for the HOV lanes, they haven't been delivering them yet, I don't think, and the driver wouldn't have had time to get his HOV stickers yet.
