The LEAF, like most cars, works best with round tires. Those are definitely recommended.

We also strongly suggest radial tires. ;) Anyway, if your range needs are anywhere near the rated range of the car, then Low Rolling Resistance (LRR) tires are strongly recommended. If you have more range than you need to fully utilize, then just get the best tires for your driving situation.

I also agree "round" is best , but I purchased Hankook knergy ST. They were comparable with the ecopedias, LRR and weight. Plus they have a great mileage warranty 70k . Plus max inflation is 51 psi. I run max psi minus 10% or 15%, and have been getting 4.9 MPKwh in the summer months. No issues in rain. I went through tire rack and u can narrow down ur choice with the eco focus filter. Good luck keep us posted.

If you're looking for something cheaper than the OEM (depending on your trim level) - The ones i got to replace the OEM were Yokohama Avid Ascend i think and they work fairly well. If i remember right they also have a decent lifespan associated with them but you might lose a touch of efficiency versus some of the more expensive low rolling resistance tires.

Although if you're really looking to be the envy of all EV owners - these are what you're looking for https://callitw.com/index.php?route=mobile_store/product&product_id=94

Make sure it's the 2" whitewalls though!

Edit: nevermind - it's only a matter of time before someone tweets these to Elon Musk and they become OEM for the plaid models. ; https://highway-max-coloured-smoke-us.myshopify.com/collections/16-tyres
