We have a 2013 Nissan Leaf. It was purchased used. When we got it, we could travel about 60 miles before needing to recharge. After a couple years, the distance we could travel dropped to 27 miles. We took it to the local Nissan dealership. They had it for a couple weeks. They said the diagnostics showed the batteries were good. We got it back and it still only goes about 27 miles per charge. Does anyone know what the problem might be?

The cells are still good, but they are old and worn down. They no longer have the capacity that they did when new, or even a few years ago, because cells wear due to both usage and time.

How far do you need to drive for your use?

You might be able to get a few miles back by doing a calibration charge. Drive it down to below 2 bars on the fuel gauge, then plug it in to charge using the 120vac EVSE unit and let it charge until it quits. If you haven't done this in a while then it might help.

Will try this. We have been charging using 240v.
