Got a call a few minutes ago from a rep at the dealership I took my leaf to get serviced & they are offering to buy my leaf. I've had it for 2 weeks & the offer is good enough that I would make decent profit.

I'm puzzled as to why. The only thing I can come up with is it's cheaper to buy back than to eventually replace the battery.

Any conspiracy theories are welcome

That's pretty underhanded of them, I would report them to Nissan corporate office, the BBB, etc.

Definitely a bit of a gamble to keep the car, but I'm sure a free 40 kWh pack is tempting. Not sure what I'd do in your shoes, good luck!

I'm not sure they should be reported just for offering to buy the car. If they try to pressure the OP into selling it to them, that's another matter.

I'll admit that I have come to hold Nissan dealerships to a somewhat lower standard than maybe I should. Anything above "They tried to steal my snow tires" (true story!) earns them at least a "D+."
