2013 Leaf - Featured at Work!

My car was featured at work. I work in an environmentally friendly building (LEED Gold). The building recycles rain water for irrigation, has a green roof (roof garden), intelligent lighting, etc... Naturally adding the first electric car to our employee parking lot made front page news and generated a ton of buzz with our corporate communications and facilities group!

Nissan corp got wind of it and is working out a Leaf drive event at our WHQ

Now the pressure's on to install L2's!

Excellent! And at 108 mi RT commute, you're reducing our gas consumption! Soon your coworkers will realize that if it works for you, it will easily work for them, and that gets the snowball rolling.

Once people open their eyes and see what's possible, they too will be driving a Leaf to work.

May I ask what company you have the privilege of assisting with your services, given the nature and level of their consciousness?

Totally awesome. The company I work for is doing something similar at the new building that should have construction finished next summer. I sat in on the discussion on L2 locations. They're putting one up front for guests and advertising. The second one is in the basement of the parking garage <yay shade!>. The only downside is that it cuts my daily round trip commute from 30 miles to 3. Now I need to get a new bicycle.

You could move farther away from the new facility to get more LEAF miles...

I bicycle commuted my whole career and it was nice to get outside twice a day every weekday and get some exercise. Snow and rain was fine but I didn't care much for lightning and very high winds. And you get a fair amount of lightning where you live. Have fun with the future bicycle commute!
