hey, i did just receive this email reply from the nissan-usa contact listed on the srp web page for the offer:
"I just spoke with an AZ dealer the tax is after the $10000 rebate is taken off"
So that's that, hopefully.
From what i see perusing inventory (which curiously seems to be hovering around 26 within 50 miles of me), ALL Model S's (the base model) have the optional 6.6KW and fast charging on them. That sort of bums me out because i don't see much of a need for that for my use case, and it adds $1,770 plus tax to the sticker.

just for the sake of any other Arizonans looking at leafs: The Arizona VLT vehicle license tax is vastly reduced for "alternative fuel" vehicles including electrics. VLT on a $30K new vehicle would be $500 recurring yearly (but decreases 15% each year), but a $30K leaf would be something like $12 if i did the math correctly.
