Agreed. I have a trickle-charger, I really just didn't think that it would be necessary for a 10 day trip. And of course by the time I got back, the 12V@1A it outputs was not able to stir the car at all. ;)

Well, don't take this the wrong way, but I don't buy condoning, explaining away or otherwise apologizing for selective enforcement of the law. Why bother having a law if you just going to look the other way? If you've been parking "in the same space for years", my guess is you would notice it...

I guess I don't get it. The sign clearly states the ordanance number & fine, so what else is there to "hear of"? What, did he think you made the sign & hung it there yourself? Sounds like laziness to me...he could sit there for a while & chill while waiting to supposedly issue a warning...

It's about time for my first tire rotation. Don't want to go to the dealership, but I do want to go somewhere that they know how to get the car up on a lift without damaging the battery. Any recommendations?

Thanks, I'll check that out. As a corollary question, does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the switch opening? I'd check myself but the car is several hundred miles away right now, just trying to front-load some weekend activities if I can.

Would someone happen to know the Nissan part number for a SPST push on/push off switch that I could install in one of the blank spaces on the lower left side of the dash? I'd rather have a Nissan part that matches the rest of the dash, but I guess I would settle for a third-party switch that...

I have my EVSE installed at the garage door end of the garage, rather than in the front of the garage. My EVSE has a 25' cord, so it easily reaches the car when I pull it into the garage. If that spot is occupied, I park the Leaf on the driveway and tap the garage door opener for half a second...

Lol website's not a bad idea. I bet the revenue from all the ICEing fines would go a long way to covering the cost of the electricity drawn from the stations every month. Not that the city needs any encouragement to collect parking fines...
