My 2012 SL is also cycling open and close when the car is off. It is possible that water dripped off umbrella while entering car during storm. 4 days and still doing it. first night is must have cycled all night and during the next work day until I was alerted to look for he cycling. Now I...

I have a 2012 SL. Currently at 47,000 miles I use it every weekday to commute to work 18.6 miles each way. With the occasional lunch trip and seeing some customers and vendors within 10 miles....average 40 miles/day just 1 occupant. That's all surface roads with traffic control every 1/3 of a...

I brought my registration and just handed it to the attendant. No one asked about proof of insurance but I would have it just in case.. On another topic I just did my 4 year battery check up. All 5 stars. (I haven't heard of anyone getting anything but 5). Libertyville Nissan is now getting...

I also tried using my PIN and I.D. Number but got the same msg. Before the rush I went to Libertyville, mid afternoon on Tuesday and got out in a blistering 7 minutes! There was 2 cashier Windows for renewals but only one open. No comment on cost... This cashier was fast and efficient! No need...

A few months ago I parked at up front Low Emission spaces at the Whole Foods in Palatine.... also no chargers but at least a recognition/perk. (One was ICEd in). Have only returned once as that perk is not worth the cost to me. I do go to 2 Mariano's in the suburbs regularly but no spaces...

    Scary braking problem

While I try to maintain sufficient separation there can be instances when that changes quickly and radically such as another vehicle changes lanes abruptly into my lane and without signalling. The separation distance is immediately compromised. That is what just happened this AM on an expressway...

I do use PlugShare and trust it more! For reasons exactly like this. Just want to help anyone who might use the Nav system from driving out to a non-existent charger and then potentially getting stranded. I sent an email to Nissan but who knows if it will get properly directed.

Perhaps in another dimension..... My CARWINGS tells me there is a charging station at 2700 Lake Cook Road, Long Grove, Il.. It seems to be a false location. It is a Menard's parking lot and the navigation will tell me I have arrived at my destination. Anyone know anything about this? There...

    Cold Day in Chicago!

I am another Chicago area Leaf driver. I am trying to recall but I believe I saw somewhere that the battery heater comes on at -4deg and off at 14deg Fahrenheit I think., which would be on at -20C and off at -10C Just installed my LeafDD this morning but it does not display those cold temps. I...

Common sightings for me means average of 1 per week. But it is most often repeats. Used to see RedLeaf regularly, not recently... driving patterns have changed. I've seen a white one couple of times in the last month.... once also on Quentin between Palatine and Colfax. Another white or perhaps...

Quiet here recently... Sighting update: Sunday Feb 10, I (305 EL Red) was northbound on Quentin Rd. crossing Lake-Cook. At the light, westbound was 307 EL Red. Sightings are common enough now that that it's almost not worth mentioning.... but this one was a close "relative" of my Leaf (color &...

Just had 1st annual battery check-up. No suprises. 11,300 miles since December 22, last year. I did have to prompt the service department to print out the battery/charging report. They had not done that when they first tried to give me my car back. I might have been the first one for that...

If it helps anyone going to the Plug in Event.......... At my Southern Elk Grove Village (Devon & 83) office I have a 208Vac outside outlet that can be available for charging. So if you have a modified Leaf trickle charger (L6-20 plug) (or an adapter for L6-20 to standard 120v wall) you can...

I take that same route every weekday. Today I was actually a little earlier than usual so that really was a chance passing. I saw another red Leaf last weekend in Palatine on southbound Bothwell as I was headed west on Palatine road. Regular plates... did not catch any plate characters.

first leaf in the wild!!! And I was at 5998 miles. On Hicks just south of Lake-Cook Road. Cyan red, just like mine, regular plates, went into Menards at the intersection. Wish I had time to turn in and chat but I was on a schedule. ...I have seen the same Fiskar Karma 3 times now and only...

My purchase was straight purchase... no trade. Took the forms to the post office on Dec 26. I also have yet to see a Leaf in the Wild. I go past the Walgreens almost every workday at Hicks & Dundee where RedLeaf had a sighting. I have tried the L2 charger there.... it does not require any kind...

Good morning!!!! I have been feeling EV isolated out here as I have not seen another EV since getting my Leaf Dec 22 and 3300 miles. This morning made up for that. On the trip into work I spotted a Volt on Central Ave just west of Arlington Hts road and a minute later, just after I turned...
