    Door lock actuators

The ones on both my rear doors have failed. Nissan's prices are $384 & $334 for these. Ouch. My mechanic wants $95/hr for labor. Anybody know an alternate source for these parts? After ~5 yrs, this is the rare issue this car has developed. TIA.

Kennyboy, same exact scenario for me. Called in. The tech had me reset my portal password. Still no go. Awaiting callback on Saturday.

CARWINGS changing to Nissan Connect EV - ONLINE NOW

RedLeaf, My tirade was not directed at you, but rather at Nissan. My apologies for that. OP was meant to be original post (not poster). We live in a world where companies such as Google, Nest & Tesla have made technology dead simple. Guess Nissan falls a few notches below that.

CARWINGS changing to Nissan Connect EV - ONLINE NOW

It's 2015 and Nissan just decides to switch things over without informing anyone. But then Carwings is so 1990s and maybe they are operating in a time warp. Oh wait, OP says it will switch over. Just like that. Nissan, you are completely clueless.

Intriguing dilemma but the car is increasingly untenable in its current state. 48 mi range 3.3 KW onboard c 80 mi daily driving Ambient temperatures still in the mid 90s and my battery swap is scheduled in about a week.

    2015 maps update

Appreciate the response. Hope Nissan reads it and rethinks their marketing strategy. Your note has convinced me to not upgrade the NAV but rather save that money for a phone upgrade (Nexus 5x due out at the end of the month).

    Help with Texas inspection/registration

It's only $7 (for the inspection) + $11 ~ (when you renew your registration), IIRC. Note: inspection fees. Other additional registration fees is ~ $50.

    2015 maps update

So if you are happy with Nissan's maps implementation (mine is 2011, so ymmv) then ok. Waze has saved my hide almost every day. The data is surprisingly accurate (i was a cynic early on). Don't understand your concern on the data connection. Works fine for me. Takes up very...

    2015 maps update

A higher-end GPS unit is now $179. Does anyone even buy those any more? Nissan will sell maybe 10 of these map updates. Further proof that they are completely clueless in their strategy. Guess i think too much of Tesla these days.

Lost the 4th capacity bar yesterday. Miles: 54,410 Years: 4 ~ AHr: 42.22 SOH: 64% Hx: 43.15% kWh remaining: 13.5 ~ GIDs: 171 Miles --> 1 kWh: 50 Total QCs were 10. Two of them were on one day prior to 4th bar loss. Austin has just two QC locations. Almost every bar was lost after a top...

    2015 maps update

Link is up now. It's been 4 long years with a clunky NAV. In an age where google maps gets OTA updates every so often we get to fork over $179. Has anybody purchased the previous versions and found it worthwhile? TIA. On a related note, does anyone else have grand visions of hacking into...

    Considering 2011 leaf

A new battery should serve up ~ 282 gids, iirc. My car (see sig) shows 206 gids when fully charged. This lets me drive 55 to 60 miles @3.9 kWh. (all numbers from Leaf Spy Pro, which has been awesome)
