Leaf Owners from The Greater Cincinnati, OH Area

So cooler weather is starting to arrive in Cincinnati... It will be interesting to me to see how much the battery range decreases as the outside weather temps continue to decrease. I am not quite sure if I am seeing some reduction in range due to the 48 degree morning temperatures... In August I...

Leaf Owners from The Greater Cincinnati, OH Area

I heard from my dealer today that supposedly Nissan is working on a 200 mile range Leaf... At first it really got my attention.... But the current range of my LEAF has not limited my local driving... And 200 mile range would not be enough for me to want to take it on a trip...

    Official Mercedes B-class EV thread

I must say as a fairly new Leaf owner, there is nothing I regret about the purchase of my Leaf... I had considered an I3 and even waiting for the "B".... But really, what does one gain from either an I3 or a B other than a much larger monthly lease or purchase payment? Sure I love to punch...

Leaf Owners from The Greater Cincinnati, OH Area

I bought Clipper Creek 220 unit from their web site.... The unit was under $600 and had a 30 amp charge rate. My electrician charged me $190.00 to run a 50 AMP wire from our basement box to the garage along with installing a 220 female receptacle in the garage. We have a Turbo Charger at work...

Deciding btw 2015 Leaf SV vs SL

I went with the SL with the premium package... I am not sure if there is much of a difference in the LED lights between the SV and SL.... But I did want the leather... With dogs I have found leather to keep clean easier. Also, although there are not quick charge stations in my area currently I...

My 2014 pearl white Leaf is the SL with premium package. So navigation and the Bose system came with it along with the quick charge port... I am hoping that we see the quick charge stations in Cincinnati before too long... I chose the white color only because my car sits out in the direct sun...

iPhone Contact Field Mapping in The Leaf Not Correct

I guess my other question is do ALL Nissan vehicles download the contacts the same as the Leaf? I would assume that they do..... IE Last name first..... Which means the VM sequence needs to be last name first....

iPhone Contact Field Mapping in The Leaf Not Correct

Thank you for your comments regarding your Android. I talked to a friend that use to work at Apple. He indicated that the issue for sure is with Nissan. His comment was that Nissans needs to obtain full access to the iPhone "features". I am not technical so features was not the name he used...

iPhone Contact Field Mapping in The Leaf Not Correct

When one uses voice recognition in the Leaf to make a phone call it would be nice to be able to say the first name FIRST followed by the second name SECOND... But when you download contacts from an iPhone 5 the last name always appears FIRST in the LEAF handset phonebook... So when I try to make...

    Voice Recognition not working?

Why doesn't the Leaf Navigation enter names the same as they appear in the iPhone? Ie if you have an entry such as DAVID SMITH in the iPhone, you would expect it to show up as DAVID SMITH in the LEAF.... But it does not.... IT shows up as SMITH, DAVID .... And you can change the appearance in...

    Official Mercedes B-class EV thread

At a first pass of the B I am not overly impressed. First realize that in the American market we pay quite an up charge for anything coming in from Europe. For example, when VW began building the current Passat in TN the sticker price decreased by $7,000. As to why I am not overly impressed...

How Do You limit charging to 80%???

I asked my dealer if Limiting the charge to 80% is beneficial for better battery longevity? The service department stated that the 100% charge level will not adversely impact the life of the battery.

Ready to order Level 2 for 2014 LEAF

I have a Clipper Creek HCS 40 P..... Quite a nice EVSE especially for the dollars spent. I had a 50 amp line run to my garage for $190.00... The install price included a 1450 receptacle plug... Bought the CC prewired for the 1450 receptacle. Cost of the CC was $640.00... Total cost was...

How do you import iPhone contacts First a Name then Last ?

I figured out how to set up a smaller group of contacts in my iPhone and then import the smaller group ... 127 names vs. 1500 names... But when I do the import, all the names are displayed in the Leaf as Last Name followed by the first name.. The iPhone is showing first name followed by last...

Leaf Owners from The Greater Cincinnati, OH Area

I took delivery of my new Leaf on Wednesday.... I left the dealer with a range of 75 miles and arrived home 16 miles later with about 72 miles range still left... I was quite content... I used "B" and Eco mode and was only on the highway for about 6 miles... And those 6 miles were stop and go...

How Do You limit charging to 80%???

Well, I stand corrected... On page CH-30 of the 2014 Leaf Owner's Manual it shows how to move between 100% and 80% charging....: How to set the long life mode (models without navigation system) 1. Push the switchA on the left side of the combination meter panel. 2. Push the switch B to...

How Do You limit charging to 80%???

I think I just found the answer from earlier posts... Leafs prior to 2014 had a software option where you could limit the charge to 80%.... In 2014 there is not such option... The charge is 100%... And I guess Nissan's rationale for this is that they have improved the "internal" cooling of the...

How Do You limit charging to 80%???

I saw an earlier post by someone asking how do you stop charging at 80% since 80% appears to be an optimal level for long battery life? Is there a fast answer to this (Other than look at the owners manual)?

By the way if you really want to see some nice colors that would go on a Leaf look at the Brompton folding bike web site.... They have some of the neatest colors I have seen to put on a Leaf.... Here is the link: http://bikebuilder.brompton.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false...

What Color Leaf Did You Choose?

I really like the electric blue as well...The Leaf has such a unique design so the blue makes the Leaf stand out the way it should.... Electric... So I would purchase an electric blue as well.... However... My wife does not like the color blue on anything... If the Leaf was in some shade of...
