I have the original Nissan EVSE, acquired at the same time as my 2011 LEAF, from Nissan. I'll see if I can try another charger at that location. Been to SouthCoast plaza and charged there often. THe last time was a couple of months ago, but I can't remember which station number. Perhaps #5...

So, this is the first time this happened to me. This is at South Coast Plaza, Chargepoint #5, in Orange County, Southern California. Other times I charge at this location, everything works fine, but I don't think I ever used #5 (as they expanded and added more stations at this location)...

Another one here in Southern CA (Tustin). We considered our location kinda coastal, so it's generally cooler, but Tustin does get warmer than the surrounding more well known towns and cities like Irvine, Newport Beach, etc....but I don't think it's as warm as Palmdale. We're about 2 days away...

+1. Toyota and others are going where the eggs are. As a casual observer, CARB seems to prefer laying the H2 variety.

I always noticed this on my 2011 LEAF. The 10th *fuel* bar duration in miles is always less than the 12th and 11th bars. It was only about 3-4 miles, if that, compared to 5-6 miles for the 12th and 11th bars when my car was somewhat new. I did ask about this on the forum and a few others...

We're a two cars household. Both are EV. Got rid of the gasser for over a year and a half. Absolutely no regrets. The Nissan dealership near our house rents out gasser for only $19-$29/day, and they are right next to the freeway (and they let us park the LEAF at their lot). Our situation...

Omkar, do you have LeafSpy or other OBDII reader to get more info about full charge GIDs, Health, AHr, etc for your your current 3 lost bars? I'm also in So Cal, Tustin, very close to Irvine, and I lost 2 bars in July 2013 ! I have only 22000 miles.

I didn't have any measurements for when I lost my first bar, but it was around April of this year at around 18K miles (also, that's after about a month of seeing only 9 bars charge to 80%). I just lost my 2nd bar last week 8/25/13 at 20,550 miles AHr=51.66 (this reading was before the p3227 update)

Yup, I noticed that too... I made sure I took the readings right before and after the update, right at the dealer, 1hr 15min from each other. Haven't taken a reading today tho...after 100% charge. Will do that tomorrow to see if there's any difference.

No the bars display did not change. I lost that 2nd bar last week, then decided to do the update yesterday, and after the update, it was still showing 10 capacity bars. Still two down after update.
