The Gen 2/2.5 EVLink improved on car compatibility issues. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the cause, especially since the eGolf didn't exist when Gen 1 came out. Hopefully someone at Schneider can help you out, I had extremely good service from them a few years ago with a very odd problem...
Well, we did it... we purchased our leased '13 SV for $8K off. $11K before tax/title, which is pretty much in line with market value (at least if one were to purchase from a dealer). We love this Leaf a lot, and our other option would be to lease a new one next year (or sooner). A 3-year...
Why is the obvious temporary solution being ignored? Check the light every time you turn on the car with a passenger sitting there. If it's on, turn the car off and back on, and it will very likely be off, and you continue along driving safely. Seems rather easy and IMO preferable to just...
Careful with your terms there. VPP is a discount program offered to Nissan employees, business associates, and trade partners. Don't go asking for it if you're not eligible :-). Also, the $1000 rebate was only for early adopters -- just owners of '11 and '12 models.

I'm sure they just used whatever plug was cheapest. We should probably be happy they didn't use a standard NEMA 5-15 and tell you to use that for 32A@240V :-P.
The description now says "Comes with a NEMA 10-50 Plug ( stove plug )", which is accurate to the photo. However, given that there's no earth ground connection, this is both dangerous and in violation of electrical standards. Presumably they are just hijacking the neutral connection for earth...
That can't be true because UL doesn't test for electrical noise. UL tests for safety (like thermal testing, fault conditions, electrocution & fire hazards, etc... all depends on the standard being tested). On the other hand, they may not be able to pass FCC testing (and CE testing for the EU)...
...You put 44K miles on your Leaf in 3 years and you just got a 10K/year lease on your Spark EV? Sounds like you're going to paying a lot of mileage overage fees!
