    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

I lost it at approx. 20,300 -- no GID-meter reading.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

As the only (reported) bay area LEAF driver down to 11 bars, I wanted to post an update. I'm very surprised that the range of my leaf has not really changed. Before losing the 12th bar, my 50 mile daily roundtrip averaged 7.5 bars, and the same is true after losing it.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Dave, my commute was the opposite. I live in the (relatively) colder mid peninsula (near San Mateo), and have a garage for the car. During the day, the car was in my company's open parking lot in San Jose, so the car would cook during the day (usually at 1/2 charge in). My commute is about 50m...

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Same deal for me, live in Belmont, work in San Jose. So the car is parked, during the day, in the San Jose heat.

    Capacity Loss on 2011-2012 LEAFs

Sadly here's a LEAF from the cool SF Peninsula that joins the 11 bars club. I've been driving the LEAF since March 11, collecting 20,300 miles in the process. I noticed the capacity loss at around 20,150 miles. I have 18 months left in my lease and I will return the car at its end.

NYT says EV not worth it. Leaf = Versa

Tesla said its first deliveries would be on July 2012http://www.teslamotors.com/blog/its-time-build-your-model-s, I wouldn't call them vaporware until the end of July has come and gone. If I were Tesla I would be very careful to deliver only the highest quality product, since EVs are under a...

NYT says EV not worth it. Leaf = Versa

I've seen the Model S at least 3 times in Bay Area highways and a couple of times around San Carlos backroads -- it looked pretty real to me.

Former president George H.W. Bush buys a Chevy Volt

I'm not sure about Clinton, but we can thank Reagan for removing the Solar Panels from the roof of the White House (a very symbolic gesture) thus turning back the clock.

LEAF sales disappointing? Duh, what do you expect?

Try playing the game of "Punch LEAF" driving on 101 between RWC and SJ during commute hours.

    Residential Blink report

While my home unit has had only one charge failure in 13 months (I charge every night), the ones we have at work are very unreliable (I believe they use wifi, while my unit is hard-wired). I was victim of a perpetually rebooting unit yesterday, and my co-workers who use it daily are getting very...

In Silicon Valley you can't drive 5 minutes without seeing one.

Foxnews: First Leaf Owner Still Happy after 15k miles

Now Fox has some love for the Volt: http://green.autoblog.com/2012/03/26/fox-news-finds-some-love-for-the-chevy-volt/ In this video editorial (did GM threaten to quit advertising on the network, one has to wonder?) the Volt is praised by a conservative Texan making conservative arguments about...
