OP was kind enough to answer my question. It is indeed a force fit. To remove the map light on a MY2013, follow these instructions:
1. Next to the map unit, press up on the headliner fabric between the map unit and the windshield to disengage the catches.
2. Gently pull down on the map unit...
I've read this entire thread, I have all the pieces gathered to install a 12V to 5V converter with 2 USB jacks. Just have one question. The OP stated to "push up and separate the fabric from the light unit then pull down on the front of the unit". Is the light unit just a force fit into the opening?
When I first got my Leaf just over a year ago, I used the Blink free DCQC stations near work and home exclusively. When I got the Blink notice that they were going to the session based charge model, I got my EVSE upgraded with an assortment of adapters. I now rarely charge anywhere but home. Can...
PSU Electric avenue was great a year ago when I got my Leaf (Happy anniversary my trusty electron steed!) You could almost always find an open DCQC and/or L2. I swung by about 3 months ago to grab some food on the way home and some juice. Both DCQC were in use, so I plugged into the single open...
As someone else stated, just make sure that the chargers you plan on using are up and operational. Check on PlugShare.com and keep a back-up plan in mind. Getting your EVSE upgraded for 240 with some plug adapters from evseupgrade.com will also add some piece of mind since an RV park can provide...
I rarely use the AV Green Highway chargers now & there are none within 10 miles of my commute path. Why on earth would I want to pay for "unlimited" charging? If I have to call now to initiate a charge at them even if I have a FOB, then I will just be taking the ICE on road trips from now on...
It's 403770. I just chopped it off. I've only noticed it after driving it in the snow when we had a cold snap. It was down in the low 20's. I can't comment on range at lower temps since my heater was out waiting for parts. I've definitely noticed an increase in miles/kwh after getting it fixed.
I've had that problem too when we had snow earlier this month. I unplugged the EVSE and restarted the session. Still had the noise, but it charged ok. Since I was taking it in for a heater replacement in a couple of days, I just ignored it and reported it to the dealer. They couldn't reproduce...
I know this doesn't help, but I got mine when I leased the car. Dealership had them. Try calling around to the dealerships. A friend got his from a Kohl's. Just some thoughts.
I dropped my car off Monday afternoon with the plan being they'd have 24 hours to swap the heater. They ended up keeping it for 2 days. My miles/kWH has gone back up with the fixed heater.
I'm leasing and had the EvseUpgrade done and bought a bunch of adapters to go with it. It works great when I'm on a road trip and the planned DCQC station is down or in use. When my lease is up, I'll either swap it to the new Leaf or swap it with someone who wants it if I go another route.
I took mine in Tuesday for this issue. They told me they have been getting quite a few in for this problem. They did the PDM recall reprogramming and the 15,000 mile service at the same time. They said it would be a couple of weeks to get the part. The only other thing I've had done under...
