If so.. where are you, and how has the EV held up in the Heat so far?

Also if you don't mind where did you buy, and for how much??

Thanks in advance....

BTW, as was alluded to in another thread you were on, http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=932&p=214519#p214519" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; is an example of a dealer selling Leafs at a pretty significant discount.

I don't know what city you're in, but I'd be bordering on battery longevity concerns in your area and would be more inclined to lease. Might help to update your location info so people don't have to guess in other threads.

I live about 45 mins away from New Orleans... as I stated in another thread, my local dealer laughed in my face when I mentioned the Leaf... so I'm just wondering if there are any Cajun Leaf owners???

after a drive to NO for a test drive.. the dealer said there may be only about 5 or so in all of new orleans.. and NONE where I'm from...

^^^
Too bad I don't see any http://www.nissannext.com/Home/EventLocations" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; events coming to your area, so far.

Where y'at? We left NO after Katrina. Depending on your commute, it might work for you. The good news is that it doesn't use much charge sitting in traffic with the AC on. Doing the Causeway round trip would be a challenge, but from somewhere like Slidell or Laplace, it could work. Freeway speeds are what kill the range, if you don't get above 55 much the range is OK. And it loves flat streets, but watch out for potholes!

Pioneer indeed...

We leave about 45 mins from New Orleans.. and sadly we have no nearby dealer who will sell or service the leaf.. so as of now I'm looking elsewhere.. or probably just going to keep rollin' in the Frontier for now... :)

LOL... "A Guy"...

that about sums it up right there....

I am very much the minority... from family, friends, coworkers..etc..etc...

Coach I just replied to your PM.

I live in Baton Rouge (bought a leaf in January) and I have to strongly disagree with the leasing sentiment, as we have a very friendly alternative fuel vehicle tax statute here in our great state. (as well as a phenomenal solar power tax rebate - 50%!!)

In Louisiana we qualify for a state tax rebate on the leaf of about $8000. Yeah, that's right, $8k. You don't get that if you lease, only buying. I have confirmed all of this with the guy at the Dept of Natural Resources that helped write the statute.

Read my PM...if you'd like to know more I'd be happy to chat with you about our experience.

Just bought a new 2015 Leaf in the Dallas area and had it delivered to Shreveport. My first week driving it and love it. Everything so far works great except that they forgot to turn on the TCU for the Carwings and the dealers in Shreveport do not have the equipment to turn it on. Looks like Carwings will be obsolete by end of next year anyway.

I am from New Orleans and see a few other leafs around. I am sure there are more as I see them check in onPlugshare.com. The other day I had one drive into my job and I was talking with the owner and I was amazed at how little she knew about her car. I would doubt she would be on this forum as she seemed to just buy it and drive it.

I originally bought my used leaf from http://www.priceleblancnissan.com in Gonzalez, which is about 60 miles from my house. However now I take it to http://www.premiernissan.net located in Metairie. However I see the dealerships in Hammond, Covington, Slidell and Harvey all claim to be Leaf Service areas on the Nissan website. So depending on which way you live one should be close.

We even have a new leaf owner who had difficulties with the city about installing his charging station between the street and the sidewalk. http://nola.curbed.com/archives/2015/12/02/electric-car-charger-algiers-point.php
