Is anyone out there making vent visors, wind deflectors, for the '13 Leafs? I was hoping that the Autoshade Vent Visor (Not bug deflector like JC Whitney sells) for the '12 would work on the '13, but I can't find those either. Surely someone makes them????

Thank you for your help.

I did some further digging and here are the results of my questioning:

• Auto Zone does not carry the Vent Visors
• Advanced Auto does not carry the Vent Visors
• Wal-Mart does not carry the Vent Visors
• Napa does not carry the Vent Visors
• JC Whitney does not carry the Vent Visors
• Nissan does not carry the Vent Visors

Other various and less well known online sources do not carry the Vent Visors.

I went so far as to check all available year models of the Leaf to see if an older model version would fit the ’13. No luck there either. I am left to assume that since this is not a high selling vehicle, the accessory making companies are not going to invest making the molds for us.

I also wanted to purchase WeatherTech all season floor mats. Same issues as above (and as mentioned by other forum members). I did have luck in this arena though with the dealership. Nissan sells their own brand of all season floor mats, which look very similar in construction and styling to the WeatherTech brand. I assume you can only order these via a Nissan dealership. They cost $100 for all four. My dealership offers a loyalty discount, which dropped the price down to $89 before tax.

From Nissan:

All-season Floor Mats (4-piece set)

Stepping in from the rain or snow? You need a set of All-season Floor Mats.
Custom-made of durable and long-wearing material
Driver's mat secures with a grommet hole/positioning hook system
Floor mat backing is designed to help position the mat in place

Found here: http://www.nissanusa.com/leaf-electric-car/accessories third row down, far left pic.

Stay safe.

Wow. Two years later, I still can't find vent visors for the 2011 Leaf? Yikes. I have these on all the cars for when leave the pooch inside. I thought for sure there would be items from several makers at this stage!

Anybody find them hidden somewhere?

Has anybody checked to see if the vent visor for the Versa will fit on the Leaf? They seem to have a similar roofline and window size.

I think this is what you are looking for - it's a 2011 Leaf with a full body kit, including monsoons.

Unfortunately this is a Japanese market vehicle, a Nissan Leaf X with Aero package, which includes monsoons (vent visors) on the 4 windows, that was imported into New Zealand via the used car imports market. I have tried to find any reference to the Aero package on the web but nothing found.
Maybe someone can import the kit into the USA.

Bad idea.
Depending on conditions you can receive citation or arrest in some jurisdictions.

Thank you for the concern. Yes, it is always illegal to leave a pet in the car here. It is also always illegal to have a dog off leash. Something else I do with wild abandon - and also for her health and wellbeing.

I don't care for, nor do I abide by laws that offer no benefit to my situation. As long as nobody is harmed or inconvenienced by my actions, I will continue to do what is best for my family ... including the family dog. Of course what I'm trying to do here is *improve* my dog's situation by finding these visors for the car. My dog will be coming with me when I drive, and she *will* occasionally be left alone when conditions are safe. I seek to make the experience the best it can be.

Getting wildly off the topic here - but it is ludicrous to consider that I should (legally) lock my dog up in a crate at home and leave her alone for hours instead of minutes, or board her out somewhere that she hates so that I can avoid breaking the law that is clearly created for the idiots who can't figure out what is safe or best to do for their own pets. After 40 years of owning dogs that have happily lived far-longer-than-average lives, I am confident in making my own pet-care decisions.

It should be illegal to NOT train your dog. It should be illegal to leave your dog at home for 10+ hours while all humans are out at work all day. It should not be illegal to take your dog with you, and leave her in the car alone for short stretches when safe. But here we are suffering with laws for idiots. We all get to weigh the pros and cons of our actions, and understand the consequences. At least those of us who are able to think for ourselves.

I've heard that some people break the law and actually *exceed the posted speed limit* sometimes.

Nissan offers vent visors in Japan. Here's link to the Japanese LEAF Optional Parts catalog.

http://www.nissan.co.jp/OPTIONAL-PARTS/OPCATALOGUE/PDF/LEAF_OP_20150204.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The visors are item #41 on page 12.

Well, there it is! Now... procurement.

Great getting the catalogue for reference! Yes, they are available - I have just ordered mine through my Nissan dealer :D

Super! Do you mind sharing what the cost was? Ah.. I see it won't be USD. :)

Interesting that New Zealand dealer was able to order these.

Will be interesting to see if USA dealer can get them.

When people wanted to buy the Australian spare tire storage bracket, the response was it could only be purchased from Australian dealer.

I found some more info including the part number, H0800-3ND00.

These listings show the same part number for the early LEAF (ZE0 2010/12 - 2012/11) and the later LEAF (AZE0 2012/11 - Current):

http://www.jp-carparts.com/nissan/partlist.php?maker=nissan&type=237&cartype=1&fig=H08" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.jp-carparts.com/nissan/partlist.php?maker=nissan&type=237&cartype=3&fig=H08" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Presumably this part should fit LEAFs sold outside of Japan, but I guess we'll have to wait until someone tries it before we know for sure.

I'll have to spend some time looking at the jp-carparts.com website to see what other goodies are there.

While Googling the part number, I found that someone already mentioned the visors on another thread posted on MNL: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=16871" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. One of the posts in the thread references a UK LEAF accessories catalog here: http://www.nissan.co.uk/content/dam/services/gb/brochure/Accessories+Brochure/65397_LEAF_E_ACCESS_13_GB.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Interestingly, the posts and the catalog mention a different part number, KE800-3N010. The visors look a little different, and are perhaps made by someone else.

As already mentioned, putting the part number H0800-3ND00 in Google brought up this topic. http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=16871" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Japan Parts shows them available for $136.95 plus $54.88 shipping (to my state). https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/39225" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think those would look nice on my red Leaf.

If you can get them for under $200 you are doing well - more like US$270 here. My Prius slimline weathershields (same thing) were also about the same price.

The local dealer is able to order from the Nissan (Japan) catalogue provided there is no local manufacture. In either case, as for the spare tire bracket, the part can only be obtained/picked up at the local retail level i.e. the dealers don't export on to other countries, as I'm sure they don't in the States either.
