Hi all! I have a huge problem with my 2013 facelifted Leaf Acenta.

The car is now 15 months old, it has 10150km (around 6400 Miles). I only used 2 times in the whole time a quick charger, and usually I charge the car at home from 220V or using a public 3KW charger...nothing more. Since the car is pass the 10000 km there is a strange thing come up. I cannot charge the car to 100%. I can charge to 91-97-79-89%, but never for 100%. The battery save mode is off-course is off.
For example last night is charged the whole night the car and when last time I check with the carwings it shows around 90% charged and 1 hour remaining to the full charge. But it stops at 91%....
So I took the car to the dealership, they plug up the car for the whole night and it charges to 79%..... They check the computer and its shows the car is charged up fully...They totally confused (and as they told me, I know more about the car then they), so they ask the Nissan center. Nissan tells them, it can be possible this effect if I use the car in ECO mode for a long time.... But since when I bot the car I just ONLY drive in ECO mode and I always can charge it to 100%

So they bring the car back to me to test in normal mode, and they promised me, if the problem is still exists they will ask for a Leaf specialist... So I drive the car 41,1KM (26 Miles approx) and the battery went down to 38% (!!) (The dealership told me the battery is fully loaded)...... I charged the whole night from a public 3KW charger and the car charged to 91% again

The only circumstance what is changed in the charging method: I the past I charged my car in my garage...since this problem is exists I charged outside and the fall is in Paris is not that warm: 6-8C during the night....

Any ideas??

Without knowing more details (esp. any DTCs registered on the car) and not knowing whether there's something wrong w/the DC FC or EVSEs you're using or the power source, I have these wild guesses:

http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=15655" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The above supersedes TSB NTB13-069: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=332190#p332190" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Hi! There is cannot be a problem with the EVESE or the power source, because I tried different places for the charge (in 1 block distance there is 15 public "autolib" 3KW charging point what I can use) , and when my Leaf is in the Dealership for check I use the same public charging point for the replacement Leaf and it charged for 100%....

Is the EVSE voltage at the dealership the same as the voltage for the EVSEs that would not charge to 100% :?:
The 2011 and 2012 on board chargers have experienced a strange internal component failure where they would not charge at 240V (typical in residences), but would charge at 208V that is common for three phase power at dealerships.
I have not heard of a similar issue on 2013.
But if it charges to 100% at dealer but not at other EVSEs it would be good to check if there is a voltage difference.

To be clear, NTB13-069 was PDM (http://articles.sae.org/11993/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) reprogramming to address premature termination of charge, accompanied by a yellow ! warning light and possible a yellow car symbol, a bunch of stored DTCs. See my earlier post for details. DTCs are also in the TSB. The TSB only applied to '13 Leafs. People would only get this done if they hit the symptoms and brought it in for repair.

NTB13-098 was a service campaign that came later that was sent out via snail mail to many (most?) '13 Leaf owners to also reprogram the PDM. Applicability depends on OBC/PDM part # on the car. Some don't need it. See the TSB for more details.

The letter says (in part):
REASON FOR SERVICE CAMPAIGN
The Power Delivery Module (PDM) software logic of your vehicle may detect an error when subjected to high internal temperatures when no error is in fact present. As a result, vehicle charging may not occur. To correct this, the vehicle PDM software will need to be reprogrammed.
This voluntary service campaign is intended to address this issue and is being conducted for customer satisfaction purposes. No safety issue exists, and the vehicle still meets and/or exceeds applicable safety standards.

I really gotta hit the sack. If the OP and others commenting here on this thread downloaded the TSB PDFs in question, things would be more clear.

NTB13-069
2013 NISSAN LEAF®; INCOMPLETE OR NO CHARGING WITH DTCS STORED
The customer states the HV battery charger of an applied vehicle will not charge or will not complete charging
AND
The EV warning light is on and all of the following DTCs are found stored: P316C, P3170, P3171, and B29C1

NTB13-098 Service Campaign
2013 NISSAN LEAF; VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN PDM SOFTWARE UPDATE
Nissan is conducting a voluntary service campaign on certain Model Year 2013 LEAF vehicles to
reprogram the Power Delivery Module (PDM). This service will be performed at no charge for
parts or labor.
I'd attach the PDFs to my post, but I'm a bit hesitant to.

I had both of these done, because I hit the symptom described by NTB13-069 about 2K miles into ownership. I had the service campaign done when I took my car in for maintenance.

These are only wild guesses, since we lack info here, esp. whether there are any stored DTCs nor do we know anything about the EVSEs and their power source. For example, some stations may have compatibility problems: http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=15656" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=12467" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;.

Sadly my car nowhere charge to 100%

Finally today I took back the car to the dealership, and I printed out all of the references and comments for my thread (thank you guys everything again) and they promised me in the next week the Nissan EU will send a LEAF specialist to check the car...

Until I get a brand new 2015 LEAF, so I'm still electric :D

But from the other side, honestly I dissapointed a little, because I hoped after the facelift there is a less chance to have any problem with the LEAF...

And one more thing...I don't know what is the situation in the US, but I realize immediately when I sit in the new LEAF, the quality is not exactly the same like my 2013 model. For example if you press the reading light button in the front, the whole carpet behind it is start to moving and making some strange noise. Like if they spared the sound silencer material from under....?!?
