I have a 2013 SV with 57xxx miles that shows 11/12 bars. When I connect my Leaf Spy app it shows SOH at 86%, seems to match up correctly...

But when I look at the next screen it shows SOC 92.7% with only 18.1 kWh remaining!?!? If it is a 24 kWh battery shouldn't 86% health be 20.6 kWh??

I am growing suspicious of the battery pack as I bought it used in March 2017 with 31k miles and 12/12 bars... I had thought perhaps the battery had already been replaced but now I am wondering if the dealership has the ability to reset the bar gauge without actually replacing the battery? 18.1 kWh is only 75% capacity so shouldn't there be 2 or 3 bars eliminating??

Can anyone give a little explaination of what I should really be looking for via Leaf Spy to get a better idea of the real health of the battery?

New 24 kWh Leaf batteries do not have all 24 kWh user accessible. They only have ~21 to 22 kWh accessible. New 24 kWh Leaf batteries charge up to about 281 gids at 100% charge on the dash, maybe a little more. If you want to do 281 * 77.5 / 1000, you can... but see what I posted above.

The battery controller (BMS) can indeed be reset to falsely show 12 bars for a while, but as Cwerdna noted you are seeing normal readings. A BMS reset only "lasts" for a couple of months at most if the car is being driven.

FWIW, http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=511915#p511915 was my 1st bar loss. I am still at 11 bars now w/SOH fluctuating around 82.xx to 84.xx% but mostly around 82.xx to 83.xx% lately (again). I'm now a bit past 63.5K miles.

Last night, my Leaf was at 235 gids on a full charge (after ramp down and the typical 3 bounces before stopping completely). That’s about right. I typically recall 230ish to maybe ~241 gids at max on a full charge, which I don't do that often.

How many kWh? Beats me… one can do the math but I already have said how much I trust that.

Car was bought used by me in July 2015 and built 5/2013.
