Hello,

I am currently thinking of selling or trading in my 2011 Leaf SL.
Are there websites that value EVs, and factor in battery health as part of the valuation?

My 2011 Leaf SL still have 9/12 bars and while it's an older vehicle (126k miles), it should be worth more than say the same vehicle with lower battery health right? Most of the online car sites only ask for mileage and does not take into account the battery health.

I just submitted my vehicle details on this website: https://www.findmyelectric.com/instant-cash-offer but I am not sure if they are going to be offering me much.

Using CarGurus, I can see https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/price-trends/Nissan-LEAF-d2077 that the retail prices of 2011 Leafs sold are around $6k.

Does anyone have a reasonable sense of the current values? Thanks for any help!

$6k is reasonable for a 2011 with a good-not-great battery and that odometer reading, especially if it's cosmetically nice. $5k might be closer if the car has dings and upholstery damage. This is all subject to things like EV popularity and availability in your area.

I think it is more accurate to say that dealers *ask* for ~ $6k. I don't know how much they end up getting for the car. Others have posted that dealers offer ~ $2k to buy these old LEAFs

It does seem to be generally true that buyers are willing to spend more at a dealer for the same car than from a private person <<shrug>>
