It looks interesting--I would consider participating if I could witness the testing to verify their methods and results along with keeping an eye on my car. It makes sense to choose one model year (several years old) so that age differences are minimal as long as published conclusions are limited to the studied make, model, and year. Many 2011s and 2012s have had battery replacements, we suspect a battery chemistry change during 2013 production, and 2014 was a short production year so it makes sense to use 2015 LEAFs for this study.
