So my ZE0 pump 1 finally gave up it blowed a 10a fuse and a P31E9 00C0 EV/HEV Water Pump 1 EVC-314 DTC appeared, so i was reading on this and another forums of this problem and the solutions didn't satisfied me. I am aware of this post : Water Pump 1 failure on 2012
Its great that some people find same exact replacement pumps for cheap but there isn't any anymore.
I'm not gonna pay from 150 to 300 to 1k to replace this pump it's just not worth the money anymore in my opinion, my leaf is from 2012 and to pay 1k for a dealer to replace my pump is unreal the other options are cheaper to do it yourself but not ideal. So i will get to the point, I'm thinking of replacing the old pump with a cheap 12v pump from any hybrid or ev that is same spec liters per minute pump, its plenty to choose from 20-30-50 euros as long as the liquid will flow it will do the job. Lets get back to the DTC, the original pump have a 4 pin connector i assume the car measures the rpm or have some PWM control's, the cheap pumps have non of that and have only 2 pins + - 12v and it will do the job without any questions. The leaf still gonna be wondering what the heck is going on and will still probably throw at you same DTC code, any suggestions how to get rid the DTC?. And trick the leaf in to thinking everything is fine ? Any info or schematic of how the original pump works or what the 4 pins do ?
