So, Ive decided to buy a Leaf.

Are there any known dealerships that
rock-bottom the price down with
discounts and incentives?

I'll go anywhere in the country for a good deal.
Even having knowledge of a better deal somewhere
is a great help.

Thanks.

I'm sure someone else here has experience with Boardwalk Nissan - I don't - but the advertised prices are ridiculous - $89, $129, and $189 for two year leases on S, SV, and SLs respectively.

Shop around. Most dealers will tell you they "guarantee" you the lowest price. Tell them about boardwalk nissan deal and they will match it. Although my dealer matched it, they raised the price a few dollars because of "taxes" just before signing the papers.

I'm buying not leasing.

These things don't exactly fly off the lot.
Less than 1000 a month nationwide.

So, I was wondering if anyone knows of a good deal somewhere.

That's all.

Grand Forks ND has a 2012 SV for $25k that isn't including the $7,500 tax incentive. http://www.gfnissan.com/searchnew.aspx?year=&make=Nissan&model=leaf&bodystyle=&price1=&price2=&hpForm=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Ask for Eric and tell him Matt from Fargo sent you. I bought a SL in Fargo and would love to get one for the wife but doesn't make sense unless I can get for $99 a month with nothing down, he won't do it yet :).

Where are you located? It sounds like you have your heart set on buying, but if you read enough of this forum you will see that depending where you live there might be advantages to leasing.

I just retired and my original thought was to try
to make my recurring monthly expenses as
close to zero as possible.

And energy, household electric and car gas fill ups
are a rather large number.

Most of my driving is around 20 miles round trip.

So the Leaf meets all my driving needs except when I
want to make a road trip. And I'm not going to get rid of
my Jeep GC anytime soon.

So it's a second car.

In this rare case, I am open to suggestions though.

Thanks.

Those are great prices! Do you happen to know if those prices are only valid for California buyers?

If cost is the object, purchasing is preferred over a lease, and 20 mi RT is the distance, then my answer to buy used. Should be lots of used Leafs hitting the market in the next year or two. Check out the current used auction thread:
