Yes, it looks like you have your forward emergency braking turned on. I can't remember which screen it was, I'll dig around mine to see if I can find what I am talking about.
Yup, that's it. When I got in to drive home, this evening, I powered up, but left the parking brake on, and looked through the settings menu, to check whether AEB shows up in the settings menu, and found it. Also found that I have "intelligent tracing control," although even after reading about it in the manual, I'm still not entirely clear on what it does.
Knowing that I have AEB, I find myself wanting a safe way to test it -- what would I do? Mount a large radar target on some hay bales and attempt to run into it?
One thing it
doesn't have, that I don't want to do without for any longer than necessary (and as soon as the pink slip is safely tucked away in the fire-chest inside my safe, I'm having a local autosound dealer install it) is SONAR. I've backed into too many things to want to be without it, and if I had to choose between a rear-view camera and SONAR, I'd take the SONAR in a heartbeat, any day of the week, because it will beep at me
regardless of where I'm looking, if I'm about to back into something, and it will give me an approximate range to the first obstacle it picks up.
Indeed, I've already fabricated a bracket for the display unit.
I'll look at the YouTube video tomorrow, at the office. I don't have the bandwidth (still on dial-up) or the iron (still on a "bionic desk lamp" iMac) to look at it at home.
