Right. The "pre-Lizard" (confusing name) or "Wolf Pack" (my idea) was made from 4/2013 through the 2014 model year. It seems to differ from the Lizard pack mainly in lower resistance to extreme heat.

Most excellent! So in the 2014 redesign, engineers were not forced to compromise any of the shortcomings of the original battery design, but in fact accentuate them.

I'm not sure I follow. There wasn't really a "redesign" in 2014, just the removal of the 80% charge option and a change or two to available options, IIRC. And the 2014 has the same pack as the later 2013 pack, which is a substantial improvement over the early packs. So...what do you mean?
