Towing Eye

Purchased a 2012 Leaf a few weeks ago .

Watched a you tube video of a guy in the UK installing a towing eye bolt at the left front & towing his Leaf home with his Wife's car .

Anyone know the thread diameter & thread pitch for the eye bolt ? A vendor ?

Just like the EVSE, the Towing Eye is supplied. If you did not get one when you purchased a used Leaf, then check the documents on NissanUSA website.

Check in the flat tire repair compartment in the left side of the hatchback. Originally there was a bottle of Nissan "Slime", an air pump (to use with the slime or not), a tire wrench and a towing eye in there.

Found the little vinyl pouch with the eye bolt , short lug wrench and some other tools .

Took the 4 - way lug wrench & scissor jack out of the old 1996 Chevy Lumina ( non runner ) . Both work .

Secured the jack in the compartment with a bungee strap , hopefully to keep it from rattling .
