16,000 lb payload and 100 mile range and a 75% reduction in energy cost. This is already impressive and once economy of scale is reached, I can see the EV market exploding!

I haven't seen any but long ago, thanks to http://green.autoblog.com/2011/02/18/electric-vehicle-in-need-of-a-tow-flatbeds-may-be-the-way-to-go/, I found http://www.autoobserver.com//2011/02/towing-raises-new-issues-when-evs-are-involved.html about towing which mainly involved potential issues when towing Smith electric trucks.

a very good post regarding the towing issue with BEVs .. a must read for any Leaf owner. If you park in the wrong place and the city tows your car away, they may have damaged it.

Side note: if you get someone to tow your Leaf forward w/all 4 wheels on the ground and you ride along w/your foot on the brake to do some light regening, you'll get some "free" charging, like those crazy Dutch guys. ;)

Might be a good idea to put one of those "Do Not Tow" stickers on both the front and rear bumper of the car.. until tow operators learn about the Leaf.

I saw one of these same trucks in Fort Worth the other day. I think it was a Frito-Lay truck and it said "100% Electric Delivery Vehicle" on the sides.

Sighted a Frito-Lay Smith EV truck in Orlando on Friday. There was nobody around, it was just parked at the outer reaches of the Publix parking lot. I snapped the following pics from what was outwardly visible:

I saw a 100% electric delivery truck for La Brea Bakery in the West L.A. area while I was out for a morning ride on my recumbent bicycle. There were big bold letters on the side announcing that fact. Looks like these trucks are starting to catch on in southern California. The truck in front of it was a noisy, smelly diesel. I immediately noticed how smooth and quiet the electric truck was in comparison.
