When leaving the used car lot I had trouble rolling up the passenger window. In my VW I am used to being able to roll up the window when the car is off, from the exterior drive door handle, or using the fob. With the leaf, and I assume Nissan products, the key has to be in the ignition.

I am so used to parking and leaving the windows dow, shutting off the car, then rolling up the windows when I am ready to exit. Little things, but I am just trying to discover the little annoyances of a new car brand to make sure there are not any deal-breakers for me that I would be unhappily surprised by.

Thanks,

IIRC, you can still roll the windows up/down via interior buttons after power off for maybe 30 seconds, as long as you don't open a door first.

I went and sat in a 2013 SV today. It had less leg room than the versa note I rented last month. I am 6'2. Any tall lead drivers here? I also can't sit in the back. I would like it if the driver seat went back on more notch.

...
Also why can you run the heat with a double tap on?
http://extendmyseat.com/nissan/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
$250

If double tap you mean On mode, then you are talking about a messed up mode of operation that Nissan should have left off the car.
If you want heat, put the car in Ready.

If plugged in heat does work in On, but if it quits charging heat quits and LEAF proceeds to kill the 12 volt battery until voltage gets to horrendous 10.5 volts at which point it does close the contactor and charge it up using pack.

Do not use double tap On. Use Ready.

So,
Can someone confirm if the leafstat report in this craigslist link is suspicious for a 2013 with 30,000 km?
It makes me think I can't trust this dealer or they actually know less about the leaf than they portray as a boutique dealer.

That does seem odd. My 2013 is at about 92% in mostly the same climate.

The price is too high considering the age and mileage for one

You could always bring your own tool and check it. :D

So I have located a used leaf that I have the hots for. However I don't have my OBD dongle to run leafspy yet. The dealership has stated they have the battery report and it seems I could see it. Will the battery report give me enough information to be comfortable buying the vehicle compared to what leafspy has to offer?

Thanks

The annual battery checkup report is worthless to the owner. Google for site:mynissanleaf.com battery report worthless. See http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?p=346732#p346732" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, for instance.

To top if off, you could run into someone resetting the BMS (http://daveinolywa.blogspot.com/2014/11/buyers-beware-this-is-must-read.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, at least the outcome was good: http://daveinolywa.blogspot.com/2014/12/update-saga-of-vin-222-resolved.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

Can you at least get a Carfax and/or Autocheck history to see where the vehicle's resided? What model year is it?

I would be comfortable if I had some third-party vehicle history report in my hand that showed the vehicle never left Canada. You'd really have to try hard to damage the battery in Vancouver's climate.

But, an ODBII reader and Leaf Spy is probably cheaper even than that.
