I've wanted to replace my old mower with an electric mower, but all the mowers I've looked at appear to be woefully underpowered, and none offer a self-propelled version which I really need for my hilly lot. All the electric models I looked at ran on 120 vac, so the max power would be around 1800 watts, about half the output of my old 5 hp gas mower. The battery models put out even less power. I would love to see a 240 vac mower sold, I used to own one when I lived in the UK, they were still a bit underpowered, but capable of doing the job, just a little slower but a lot quietier.
