my agent has the option to put a car on "storage insurance". there is no collision on it, etc. but satisfies the legal requirement to maintain insurance. obviously cannot be driven in this fashion, but dropped my rates to $12 a month when i did it last year.
to be honest with ya, i would not maintain another car. i have a Ford pickup sitting at my Sisters house. its shared among 3 households and still only gets used less than once a month. have tried to sell it 3 times now and could not get even half its worth. but gas was high then. will be trying to sell it again in the spring. i think we have put just about 1000 miles on it in the past 3½ years. take out a couple RTs to Bellingham and it would only be a few hundred
