L2 Charging from a Standard 220 household outlet ?

We have been combing the internet on ways to utilize the standard (cloths dryer type) 220v outlet to charge our Leaf. It seems an obvious choice when visiting family and friends for 2-3 hours. This should allow practical visits to those locations on the fringe of driving range.
Unfortunately we haven't found any devices/adaptors/systems that will allow us to utilize the standard 200v outlet for faster (than 110v) charging.

Has anyone had any luck?
