Maybe a few dealers on the west coast have a "21 day supply", but with the current reservation system, I think this not really what this means. Certainly here in the east you'd be hard pressed to find many dealers which have any kind of "supply", other than those cars sent to them as customer orders. Maybe it means 21 days average from when the car leaves Nissan's US port facilities until it is in sold or leased to a customer.TNleaf said:hill said:an inventory of 21 units is a lot?

I read "21 day supply" not sure how many "units" that is though.
And the japanese number is 992 for november.evnow said:Leaf sales in Nov was 672 - the MY12 deliveries haven't picked up pace, I guess.
Given that Nissan has sold over 20K Leafs worldwide, sales would have to be about 2,500 to 3,000 outside of Japan & US.

I ordered on Nov. 30 and have a "month of Jan 2012". Given that it's being shipped over from Japan, which maybe adds 3 weeks, that doesn't sound too long to me... If this is true they should be loading my car onto the boat right about the beginning of the new year.evnow said:I'm assuming you can easily order and get one in Japan without a long wait.
What I meant was - whether Japanese can get a Leaf in days, rather than weeks.tps said:I ordered on Nov. 30 and have a "month of Jan 2012". 1,529 deliveries for the Volt in december 2011.
This number is the official number released by GM this morning.
The total number of deliveries for the calendar year 2011 is 7,671 Volts.
<snip>an improvement over the 1137 deliveries in november.
This is a 34.5% increase in deliveries from november 2011.
The 1,529 deliveries is a good number, given all the negative stories. They have lately spun their goal as 10k production, instead of sales. So, their sales goal was not met.Production was

Yesterday, GM Spokesman Rob Peterson said he does not know whether the company will reach its goal of 10,000 North American deliveries by the end of the calendar year, but to do so will require 3,858 sales this month.
This is less than likely, and Don Johnson, GM’s vice president of sales operations has already conceded to CNNMoney that GM will miss the target.
“We’re not at all disappointed,” Johnson said, “We’ll hit it early next year.”
Peterson noted the Volt is all-new technology, 10,000 is an “aggressive target” for GM to reach for, and also said the Volt will reach 10,000, and keep climbing,
