Headliner material

I have a 2011 SL and the headliner is a mess - dirty and pilled up. God, I hate the recycled crap Nissan uses for headliner and carpet.

My question is whether the headliner from the 2015 is 1. Better quality and 2. Compatible with 2011. Any ideas?

I believe there has been no change in the headliner since introduction in 2011. The carpet was changed in 2013.
I am curious how the headliner in your car became dirty and piled? I have never experienced this.

Dirty from kids. Pilled from trying to clean marks left by said kids. Material is garbage.
