Thanks Wayne. That makes sense even though I wasn't aware of the '2 switch' exception you pointed out.
To get this back on a topic a bit......I 'd say it's evident that adding V2H, in combination with solar, grid-tie, generator, etc isn't easy. If one is planning to install separate (and variable) power sources to supply separate (and variable) sub-loads - :shock: please be careful and get the utility and local inspector involved.
This may explain why V2H in the US is moving so slow. All I did was connect my grid-tie solar system and even there, the constraints are not simple to a non-professional.
