Technically, If it is hard wired it must be NEC approved. It is much easier to use a 14-50P. This allows it to plug into RV parks. If you cut off the unused neutral then it will also plug into 30A and 60A sockets. They use the non-existent neutral shape to limit the plugs that the socket will accept. Other than Tesla based BEV's thirty amps covers everything out there.

You do need to go into the menu and set a 30A circuit to 24A (80% of 30A).

I do have a 30A unit currently for sale at a bargain. Basically since I long ago paid for the EVSE J1772 cable I can offer it at a good deal ($300). Any lower then it will make a good backup unit.
