The "confusion" is based on the "increased" range from a proper heater in the 2013 model. If you don't turn on the heater, your range in a 2013 is exactly the same as a 2011/12.

Styling could be as simple as a piece of chrome trim. Or a sticker, "Made in UK".

The style changes will be interesting. The EU Volt (Ampera) is far more appealing (IMO) than the US Volt.
