The cruis control was not activated by pushing the toggle switch. Speed limit reacted fine and the speed set did too. To repair you need to remove the steering wheel center unit with airbag. Remove the right switch box unscrew and open it. Be carefull for the white actuator pins dropping out! On the print board I found the cruise control contact dirty. Clean and reinstall. Succes!
The problem did return after a while so I had to repeat the procedure and find the contacts had collected some dirt again. I have thoroughly cleaned the silicone cover and hope that the problem is solved for a long time.
