I bought OEM charging cord for 2019 Leaf, won't charge using timer setting, is there a reset I need to do?

Will it charge not using the timer, just plugged in for immediate charge? if not what lights are on the EVSE?

I’ve had the thing incorrectly plugged in and it wasn’t charging though I thought it was. When you say OEM do you mean the “granny” charger? The portable one that is a plug on a cord then a box with two lights and a bunch of writing on it then another cord?
