Charging lights blinking when not plugged in

I have twice walked by my 2015 S while it was parked in the garage with charging port door closed, not plugged in to EVSE that the charging lights were blinking as if it were charging. My LeafDD was energized, but did not show either a charge or discharge bar, and of course the GIDS remained stable. This resolved itself after about a minute. Note that I am referring the the flashing charging lights pattern and not the timer or timer over-ride pattern. This has occurred after the car has been parked for a couple hours.

Anyone else notice this behavior or have theories as to the cause?

Could be indicating that the 12V battery was being charged. Check the owners manual to see whether that is the light flashing or it is indicating something else.
