Hey Guys,

I was charging at the CHAdeMO station and noticed it went up to 97% then stayed there for the longest time; no one else was waiting. I was puzzled because usually it goes up to 98% in the dash and then it stops going further. Eventually I know it begins to balance out the cells, so I was waiting for it to hit 98%. However, I didn't check the car's dash. Just the CHAdeMO which kept saying 97%. After I while I just gave up and stopped it. Then when I turned the car on the battery was at 100%. When did it start to go into cell balancing?

It made me wonder though. Would cell balancing be done quicker using CHAdeMO instead of Lv1 Charging? how about Lv2? CHAdeMO just seems to be faster overall. Seems to charge as fast as Lv2 until 92%...

Balancing can't be faster than it is. It uses additional wiring inside the battery.
It happens not only at 100%. It happens even during driving.
No need to worry about balancing. Leaf is pretty good at it.

It is pretty pointless to charge above 90% on ChaDeMo. It is as slow as Level2.
