Audi R8 e-tron

I was reading that the Audi R8 e-tron has the EV record for the Nurburgring - which I find very exciting for EVs. It finished only 4 seconds behind the gas-powered Audi R8, which is very impressive for any car.

Something else I noticed in the photos that was of particular interest is what appears to be a CHAdeMO L3 QC plugged in. If I'm not mistaken, isn't Audi signed up for the SAE combo-plug? Guess they are in the "say one thing, do another" camp

Love it! The car, the performance and the possibility that it could come out w/ the CHAdeMo standard. That could put some pressure on other manufacturers to follow along.
