I know there are a lot of Arizona residents here so I thought of this forumn when I read about this.

I'm going to bite my tongue on this one.
 
As a Veteran and someone who has dealt with debt collectors in the past, this really steams me. I hope some attorney (that's a Vet) takes their case pro bono and sues thier @ss off for 10x what they owe.
Then I bet the shoe will be on the other foot and the disabled Vet will have to hire debt collectors to get the previous debt collectors to cough up their settlement.
 
It sure seems like a low brow way to get their money. I expected something like this with my son's student loans, but when they did finally call me, it was very professional.

I was not a co-signer on any of his student loans, and they were rightly written off. No name calling, and no further phone calls.
 
Looks like they have filed against the collections law firm.

This disabled vet agrees with you 110%. This is disgusting behavior towards any citizen.
