Nope - no typo - we don't drive much or far...

You should see our ICE car - it is used even less.

I bike to work most days and my wife and I use the LEAF for most of our errands, short trips etc...

Oh right so was just wondering.

I'd love to be able to cycle to work but 84 miles is a tad bit far !

I've been very happy with the minimal degradation on my 2015 so far. Our car has 32K miles on it now, was mfg in 4/14 and put into service in 8/14. So at about 28 months old, our pack still at 277 max kids and about 59.7 AHR.

Haven't posted my results in a few months. 2015 Leaf S leased in Dec 2014. So we have had it for a bit over 19 months and have about 17,500 miles. Car is driven primarily by my teenage daughter and we live in Metro Atlanta (where it has been really, really hot lately). All numbers seem to have recovered a bit from earlier this year, back in March GIDs were down to 274 and SOH was 93.

GIDs 279
kWh. 21.6
SOC. 95.9
SOH. 97
Hx. 93.33
AHr. 60.48
Avg Tmp. 89.7
# QCs. 43
GOM at full. 98

Drove a lot this weekend, about 100 miles each day, with one QC each day, and was surprised to see:

image.jpegimage.jpeg

How is it that more driving than usual, and so more QCing than usual, and more highway speeds, leads to restoration of capacity?

Then again, 62 Ah is not the original 64 Ah, and resembles the 2012 around this stage, so, similar for this climate?

It is strange but yes, driving and DC charging will increase reported LeafSpy battery health figures.

I see about 266 Gids now from 284 and about 62 AH from 67, though it was 65 Ah when I got the Leaf first.

I see no more than about 20.5 Kwh now.

So there seems to be some sort of difference between U.S and European batteries ?

Yes I have a lot more cycles on my battery (L2) but they're very rarely full cycles.

Most recent stats. 32.5K miles. MFG 4/14, Delivery 8/14. I've owned it for 2 years now, and the pack is pushing 2.5 years old. It is almost through its 3rd summer at this point.

272 Gids
21.08 kwh
97.18 SOC
87.38 SOH
88.8 HX
57.9 AHR
81.1 degrees

That's a strange one, 59.7 Ah and 21.7 Kwh. Nothing wrong with the Kwh anyway as far as I can see.

Have lost a bit since I last checked 5 or 6 weeks ago, but overall I'm pretty pleased with how the battery in my 2015 S is holding up, especially after 2 hot Georgia summers. 3 year lease ends Dec. 2017, and if Nissan offers me some ridiculous buyout deal I may just keep this thing. Residual is $12,500 so that's a no go, but they could potentially cut that in half based on what others are being offered now.

The algorithm giveth, and the algorithm taketh away.

The algorithm took it away :|
These are only one month apart, but for the latter, I had only charged from around 50%. But there has to be some degradation at over 2 years, 25 k.

Unfortunately, the numbers are a bit worse for your 2015 when compared with your 2012 at a similar point in its life.

Kinda? GIDs are better, but AHrs are worse. Still don't get the correlation, doesn't seem constant. If my driving style changes, it wouldn't surprise me if it went back up. Not an issue anyway, I'm 10 miles from work and get no competition for the L2 there. Still averaging 1k/month. I'm lucky enough to be able to endure whatever degrading happens.

Nice! Like rebooting the whole car.

Here's my most recent readings from last week. 35,700mi. 2015 S MFG 4/14. Coming to the end of the car's third summer in the South Bay Area, I'd say I'm pretty ok with these numbers.

87.64% SOH
