Here is a car from a Nissan-dealer i New Mexico with 12 capacity bars, 12 charging bars, and 19 miles of range:

The car just disappeared from the website of the store, but not from other websites: http://www.auto.com/cars/nissan-leaf-sl-2012-jn1az0cp0ct024775#ad_carousel

Here is another car with 12 and 12 bars, and just 32 miles of range:

Seller Comments: ALL 12 POWER BARS 100%!!!!
The car has history from Colorado, and i guess that is usually not so bad: http://www.carfax.com/VehicleHistor...er_id=69525339&car_id=421374775&partner=ATD_W

How is this possible?
Is there any reset of the BMS, and will the bars disappear after 2 month?

Yes, battery management system has been reset. Only miles left can not be reset.
This is scam. If I lived there I would call buyers protection

I suppose the sales guys might have been driving it in D mode as close to 90MPH as they could for as many miles as they could before they charged it.. ;-)
Not sure how bad you can get the GOM to go???

I suppose another possibility is that the LED is broken and it is trying to display 119 miles, but that's not as fun. ;-)

Once the car resets and finally registers the correct capacity, it probably would qualify for a new battery. The mileage is suspicious also. They want a pretty penny for it.
