Nissan Ariya to be announced for the JDM July 15, 2020

https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/ ... -EV-Models Wow, that is big news! I saw that Nissan stock had a big spike this morning, and didn't know why - perhaps this good news was the reason. I owned several Leafs (2013 and 2015), and then switched to Tesla a few years ago. Have really...

    2019 "60 kWh" Leaf e-Plus

60-kWh Nissan LEAF Price Possibly Revealed In Dealer Documents? https://insideevs.com/60-kwh-nissan-leaf-price/ Any guesses (before reading) what the expected US price will be for the 2019 long range Leaf?

Considering leaf - so many questions!

Hi Ron, Some great questions! Here's a start, I'm sure you'll find out more as you search these message boards: 1. Would a leaf be ideal for someone with my short commute who has chargers on both ends? - YES! I have a very similar commute (18 miles round trip), and my 2013 SV works perfectly...

Manheim Washington Leaf sale results Sept 30

I was watching this auction on line, ready to bid if prices were low enough; was quite surprised at how high these prices were! No bargains at that auction!

Manheim Georgia Leaf sale results (Sept 22 - Now)

Thanks Gemrough! It's interesting to see the range of prices, and amazing that an SL goes for so much more than an S or SV in most cases... I'm going to a northwest auction in a few weeks where NMAC usually has 30 or 35 Leafs, I didn't pick up any last time but if prices are below $10k for a...

Sept Deals: New 2015 or Used 2013?

Hi Rayna, I drive a 2013, so I'm a bit biased :) Love the car and I think for the $ it's the better choice. But your 75 mile round trip commute is going to be tough with either car! Even with L1 charging at work, that would be a stretch in the coldest months (you could drain your battery to 30...

Hello again from a second time newbie. :)

Welcome back Jimmy! For how long were you without a Leaf? That sounds like a pretty cool garage full of vehicles you've got, I've considered a Miata as a second "long-range" car for when the Leaf can't make it, but a Roadster would be way cooler! cheers, Marty

how much did i leave in the tank?

Hi all, just began driving my 2013 Leaf again after lending it to my daughter for six months... I was amazed that after 2+ years, I'm still able to get 110 miles on a charge! I have not babied this car, always charge to 100%, and haven't worried about special tips and tricks for long battery...

    Buying used: Auction? Trim Levels?

Hello all, I have a dealers license for the manufacturing company I work for (we build custom trucks and trailers). I regularly attend the Brasher's dealer auction in Portland, Oregon where many off-lease Pacific Northwest Leafs end up being sold. (NMAC off-lease vehicles are usually auctioned...

Vancouver to Bellingham in one charge?

Hello, I drive from Bellingham up to Surrey / Langley area quite a bit, and can make a round trip quite easily. There are lots of charging stations in the lower mainland (BC), not as many in Bellingham / Whatcom county but they can be found (a few that I use often are the two near the Barkley...

    End of Lease Strategies?

Mileage continues at the same rate per year, for me that was 12,000 annually... I've kept my 2013 SV on this month to month, and will keep driving it till the right replacement comes along, maybe the 2017 Leaf?

    End of Lease Strategies?

Yes! The only stipulation was that you had to be current on your payments...

    End of Lease Strategies?

Yep, I signed the same extension, was surprised to be given the two months free right after signing the lease. I was leary about the month to month, so I got it in writing from NMAC that the vehicle could be returned at any time... they're don't seem to be any gotcha's!

Is it a bad time to buy a leaf?

I think it's a great time to buy a used Leaf, especially as a second car that doesn't have to have the range you'd need for your primary vehicle. I agree that shopping in Washington or Oregon is a great idea... I live just south of the border and play hockey up in BC quite a bit, am very...

Wholesale value of the 2013 Leaf @Auction-March '18

I respectfully disagree with this blanket assertion :) I regularly attend an auction where Nissan and Honda sell a lot of their lease return vehicles, and if there were no reserve, I would have bought a few Leafs by now! Many go through the line without hitting the reserve price set by NMAC...

extending a lease more than once?

Nope! The two months were immediately credited towards my account, giving me April and May this year for free - nice!

    End of Lease Strategies?

Have to correct myself here! Just got my NMAC statement, and it shows the 2-months credit effective immediately. So, I can skip my next two lease payments, and still turn the car back in after my original lease end date. Great deal!

    End of Lease Strategies?

I think you're wrong on this :) The NMAC people told me on the phone, and I got it in writing because I wanted to be sure it was true, that lease extensions do function like a month to month - you can return the car any time - so very little risk to sign one, even if you are likely to return...
