    Sunroof!! Finally!

They did a great job on the drain tubes. They go along the top of the door frame inside that plastic that's there. It has a very slight bulge but you'd have to be looking for it to even notice. I believe there are four drain lines in total but I'm not 100% sure about that. Same model as...

    Sunroof!! Finally!

Not really much of a difference. I haven't done a scientific study though. I was able to travel to Albany (93 miles one way), charge for three hours, then drive the 93 miles back with the sunroof installed so it's definitely not a huge range killer. I believe I had it on tilt some of the way home.

    Sunroof!! Finally!

I can't speak for Lasareth but I got my sunroof done at the same place per his recommendation and it's held up beautifully through two winters so far. I live up here in Poughkeepsie NY and haven't had any problems with snow or ice or rain, though the LEAF sleeps in the garage so I don't ever...

New York: New CHAdeMO in Westchester and Putnam Counties

Not sure who put up the ones on the thruway - Based on that newspaper article they should be active by memorial day. If anyone on here takes a trip by those service centers please stop by and comment on Plugshare about construction if possible.

Squeal from Back Wheel during Wet Weather, Only in Reverse

    Rain in NY means the squeal is back. I finally got some video (with sound). Anyone else getting this? It's the driver side rear. Next time it's a rainy weekday I'm taking it in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p3WOEzrXGk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    Wife looking at a Leaf

If it were me I would get a lease on a Gen2 Volt this summer, then have my pick of 200 mile EVs in a few years. Even if the commute is doable (which I think it is year-round even after a couple years) things come up. Why drive on edge every day when you can drive the Volt, use basically no gas...

Squeal from Back Wheel during Wet Weather, Only in Reverse

With the return of wet, non-freezing weather the squeal is back. It doesn't matter if I have brakes or not. It also seems to go away after I drive it for a little while. Anyone else been seeing this?

Can't remove charging unit - Resolved

Just had this happen to a colleague of mine who has a 2013 as well. Makes me a little nervous about my cable since I got my Leaf around the same time. I always use my 240V EVSE at home but I definitely don't want to get stuck out if I charge at a friend's house... Here's his story: Yesterday I...

Squeal from Back Wheel during Wet Weather, Only in Reverse

The past two times it's rained (or even just wet weather in general) I get this high pitched squeal from my 2013 Leaf when I go in reverse. Note that it doesn't happen when I go forward (brakes or not). Is this just rust somewhere and should I bring it in to get it checked out? Do the brakes...

Help Please - Need Leaf Spy Target Values for New 2013

As stjohn and others have said, there is nothing wrong with certain 2013s with an Ahr reading of about 60-61 when new. The extra energy is 'hidden' inside the VLBW band. Using Leafspy I always find that below about 70% SOC my dash % reading is about 8-9% lower than LeafSpy. Once my GIDs get...

Help Please - Need Leaf Spy Target Values for New 2013

I picked up my Leaf (manufactured 4/13) in July 2013 and have been tracking Ahr since Sept 2013. I started around 60-61 and am now in the 58-59 region after a year and change. I live in downstate NY so summer avg hi temp is 80's, winter average hi temp is right around freezing. Here is the data...

2013-2014 bar losers and capacity losses

My 2013 (build date 5/13, delivery 7/13) has 12k miles and 2-3% degradation compared to a year ago. I've been using LeafSpy since Sept of last year and track my Ahr at least twice a month. I live 90 miles north of NYC and keep it garaged at night (charge to 80% most days) so the battery has...

NY Drive Electric Week - Ulster/Dutchess/Orange Counties

Not my LEAF :) Some guy showed up about an hour in with it and said he needs it because where he works doesn't let him plug-in so he would be out of range otherwise. I'm guessing he thought he wouldn't have this problem when he bought it or he would have gotten a Volt or the like. I was also...
