    6 months left to go...

Hi all, This is pretty much a rant/rambling to get out some thoughts and feelings on my current situation (read at your own risk.) I've been a member of this forum since August 2012 (got my 2012 Leaf SL in late July 2012). But, I only stop in occasionally. This forum, however, has been a...

Do I have to take my flat tire to the dealer to be fixed?

I'm glad I read this; otherwise I wouldn't have known. Mine is a 2012, so I'm assuming it's the same as the 2011...

Do I have to take my flat tire to the dealer to be fixed?

Can anyone tell me where this compressor is located? I have yet to see it in my trunk.

LEAF broken into last night - computer-nav/stereo stolen

What TomT said. Unfortunately, my husband and I have been victims of these senseless crimes. My Leaf has remained intact...so far...but he used to have a '12 Xterra that was broken into and then itself stolen. Meth-heads will steal just about any petty item to make a buck for their next fix.

Do I have to take my flat tire to the dealer to be fixed?

Thanks for the validation. :) The Leaf is actually my 10th car and my second lease. My former lease was a 2011 Hyundai Elantra, which I ditched early due to an apparently cursed exterior (every rock, shopping cart, and bad parker hitting it.) Also, horrendous fuel mileage for a car its size. I...

    2 out of 2 quick-chargers down, 75-mile tow home.

Another thing, mbender: With the exponential increase in popularity of the Leaf, the DCQCs that *are* operable are overrun. Example: went to a popular one at the Clackamas Town Center Mall, where I pulled up and both sides were in use. It is sometimes this way, as it is at a busy mall, but seems...

    Bumper owie.

Wow, no offense intended, but that's very expensive for a simple bumper paint and replacement. I'm assuming there must have been other damage from your rear-end incident? I'm no body repair expert, but I've had enough collisions or family members who had incidences to know the average cost of...

Do I have to take my flat tire to the dealer to be fixed?

I say, take it to wherever saves you the most dough. I learned this lesson. I ran over something large and sharp, right rear tire. Looked like my tire was slashed, except it was on the tread, so I doubt it was malicious intent. Came out to my car after work to this discovery. Called Nissan's...

    2 out of 2 quick-chargers down, 75-mile tow home.

Chiming in loud and clear on this subject! The main provider of charging around here is Blink, and when they aren't being ICE'd (Here's looking at you, Walmart  ) they seem to be down. I haven't broken down yet *knocks on extremely hard wood.* BUT. My hubby wanted to go get some...

Small line missing on my range display?

That's OK, I actually thought that, too, Grant. Knock on extreme wood: My 2012 has just under 22k and no degradation YET. Which is honestly weird, because I drive it pretty fast on the way to work. Ok, really fast when I'm late and there's no one in my way. But here's what happens...

    Bumper owie.

Shoot. You're so right. I hope the adjuster makes him take it to like 3 body shops and gives him the runaround, lol. He's not getting cash from me...like I even have that right now! Back in 2004, I was driving a '93 Toyota pickup (stick, no power steering) and I had my foot slip off of...

    Bumper owie.

Thanks for the advice. Well, it turns out I'm in deeper water than I thought. Here we thought I bent his license plate, and it'd be maybe $50 for a new one. But today, he took it to a body shop. They pulled off the plate and there was a "puncture" underneath where the plate sits. And they want...

    Bumper owie.

Hi everyone. I don't post here often, but when I do, people are usually very helpful. Had an incident this morning. I got a free coffee card yesterday at work, so decided to use it rather than make coffee like I usually do. I left early to allow time for this. But when I pulled up toward the...

    2015 Leaf Hood Alignment Quality

My Leaf (2012) doesn't have this problem, but I was testing a 2014 at the dealer that had this problem; pretty pronounced. I told them no way would I buy that particular specimen. (I ended up keeping my '12 anyway; too expensive to get out of my lease early just yet.)

    Leafy, we hardly knew ye....

To the OP: Wow, that really sucks! I'm glad you're all right. I got my bumper in a bit of trouble today, but nothing nearly this bad. I wish you the best in your ordeal. :?

    I created this problem...

I'll amend my last comment by saying that you raise an excellent question about the quality of the bearings. I certainly did hit the curb hard, and you can see gashes on the curb from where I hit. Dumb question, but if there were steering linkage issues, what symptoms would occur? :|

    I created this problem...

I will be the first to say that I'm a bit car-poor, and I'm at the upper end of what my income will allow. If the repairs were any more expensive, I would be filling a claim with Progressive. And, the accident was my fault entirely. I was close to home and got sloppy with my driving, hit that...

    I created this problem...

Thanks for the advice, davewill. I've definitely been scoping out some used/refurb wheel deals online. The dealer has also recommended a wheel repair guy, but they also said that while the rear wheel would be no problem, the front rim may be too severe. I'll have to have it checked out. It's...

    I created this problem...

Hi everybody; I've been a member of this forum since I got my Leaf in July 2012, but I don't frequently post. However, I just wanted to share a recent experience with you, just so you can know what to expect in case this happens to you. I drive a 2012 Leaf SL, BTW. In Portland we had a snow...

Car has far too many useability problems

To the OP...the one on your list that stood out to me was "eats up tires." I personally hate the Ecopias. I'm in Oregon, so due to the rainy weather, I seem to spin my tires on any sort of pavement that isn't rough, and they also lose traction around curves. The combo of low rolling resistance...
