What a shock 350green / Chicago area update

Did you lease or buy? Can I ask you what the dealer let you have it for ... PM if too personal.

"Dead" when left in driveway - battery?

Maybe ... I have been wrong before. Never again. BUT, seriously ... then why did I have a red battery icon ...

"Dead" when left in driveway - battery?

Hey ... don't congratulate me! You deserve it. and THANKS! Where would we be without this resource. And to re-inspire confidence in EV's!

"Dead" when left in driveway - battery?

Brilliant! I actually had to click power twice to get the bidirectional green thing. But with only this amount if time, I noticed the red battery icon was gone - tried shifting it into R and it worked. Guess I now need to park it in the garage, charge it up and put a 12v charger on the 12v...

"Dead" when left in driveway - battery?

Sorry, one last Q. When you say READY mode, do you mean when I press the power button but the dash is not all lit up? i.e. one press of the power button; or do I need to click it twice so it all lights up?

"Dead" when left in driveway - battery?

You're saying that the Lion batteries will charge the 12v battery? And if I leave it on for 12 hours, I will have to leave the key in it. Theft potential? It is parked a foot off a public street. Then again, if it won't shift into R then they're not going to get very far! Would I deplete...

"Dead" when left in driveway - battery?

Left my Leaf in my driveway for the past week. Temps around 20-35. When left battery had 55 odd miles. Went to move the car this AM. Battery had 45 miles. But car will not go into R. I have a yellow PS on the dash .. Power Steering? And an ominous RED Battery symbol. 12v Battery jump...

You drive right by me. 60 miles one way ... then L1 charging for how many hours before leaving for home? Very dicey. You get 15 miles of charge per hour using Level 2. Forget Level 1 as I never use it. If you can afford it, I would go with Tesla instead. Even if you got the lowest battery...

Plugshare is not as reliable as a resource as I think you think it is. My Leaf (2012SL, available for sub-lease) has fared well. I have gotten about 10 miles a day less than Summer. Are you saying 60 miles one way or round trip? Do you have charging at work?

Why sell with less than 500 on the clock?

I must be so naive ... what does the dealer do to benefit? Sell the car to a "friend" to get the Federal Tax $7,500 ... then sells it again as used? Whose tax return gets to benefit ... thought it was 1 car per person per year max?

If they still sell cards go to 350green.com (alias CHarjit) ... even though L2 machines have Credit Card logos on them, think you need either Charjit or Chargepoint card. But one of the two cards works on both ... forgot which as I so rarely use them! As for cost at WF, think Charjit were...

Why sell with less than 500 on the clock?

Expensive is the word. I cannot imagine why they would change their mind. Only reason I'm "selling" (another post) is knowing in advance my eventual car would be the Model S. Leaf is a great car. Would not part with it if S did not exist. Different price points, different market...

Why sell with less than 500 on the clock?

I am trying to figure out why, on this Seattle web site, http://www.cars.com/for-sale/nissan/leaf/wa/seattle/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; there are 2 Leafs for sale with under 500 miles on them?

Thanks for the heads up - yes, heard that.

    Leased Leaf available for sublease.

I have a 2012 Leaf, with approx 9,000 miles on it; "red". SL package. Perfect condition. Looking for someone to assume lease. Best offer over $290 per month gets it. I am in Illinois. Why am I parting with it? I got "her" in May 2012 knowing it was "training wheels" for my Tesla Model S...

Apologies ... I was not checking so closely as I don't need charging really. I'll believe this when I see it too. I see no value in it. Level 3 is fine but limited to Leaf's, right? And service for Leaf in Chicago, while necessary, how many Leafs are there in Chicago? Do we really...

Not sure where you get JNS, it's Car Charging. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/carchargings-proposed-acquisition-350green-moves-123000535.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; If it actually closes. I would pay $1 for it in its present condition. Absolute disgrace.

I think we need to analyze their performance. Since I picked up my Leaf in May 2012, three L3's in Palatine have yet to come online. L2's are. At Whole Foods Schaumburg the L2's work, L3 never has. On the Oasis I-90, at different times L3's there (there are no L2's) have worked ... eastbound...
