Which should I get: Nissan leaf SL or Chevrolet Volt?

Fred from San Diego, i currently own a 2011 LEAF SL and a 2016 2nd Gen VOLT. The LEAF had the traction battery replaced with a new updated pack in March 2016 under warranty. My Volt peak charge is 49 - 53 miles which is plenty for me to get to work and back and then some. My work commute is 40...

Got unplugged, want to retrofit lock mechanism

No, not listed on Plug Share, there are plenty of stations here in San Diego and a few are Free... my 2 EVSE are both inside of the garage. I was assuming the OP was talking about out in town. If a kid wanted to in front of the house he would break it off.

Got unplugged, want to retrofit lock mechanism

I wouldn’t put a lock on it, if I pulled up beside you and you are fully charged, I couldn’t use the EVSE since you have it Hostage. Don’t lock it, we all like to share it. Had my Leaf since Aug 2013 and a new 2016 Volt, never had this issue. Fred

Awesome, call 1-800-NO-GAS-EV and Nissan will check your warranty status and also transfer you over to the Nissan dealership of your choice. I will always charge to 100% and do DCQC if needed, I prefer to use the Leafs full potential and drive at 65 mph. Seems like the 4th bar is constant in...
