Work is 30 miles away from home. I have commuted in my Leaf for > 3.5 years. I've never had to charge midway and I'm pretty sure I got the lizard batteries as I just lost my first bar at > 61K. I work by the beach in SoCal so the conditions for travel are relatively optimal though.

I got mine replaced 3 weeks ago. The owner's portal can't talk to my Leaf anylonger and the NissanConnectEV never worked even though I tried a number of times (last year and this). I'm not paying the monthly fee (is there one these days?) for their "service". Do I need to do that, or is there...

To be honest, why is it worth it to do the upgrade? It voids your warranty on the trickle charger, sure. But it almost seems to be a wash to just buy a good level 2 charger, and be done with it. It's a little bit more, but in the grand scheme of things, seems like a lot less hassle eh?

I currently have a dryer plug that runs at 250v, 30 amps nema 10-30 (as far as I can tell). Is there some adapter for me to use to be able to use the clipper creek charger?

Just finished up all the paperwork for my Leaf. Now to drive 80 miles to pick up the car... Gotta go charge it part way back, so that'll be fun.

Now to find all the rebates associated with it as well the as the California sticker for carpool lane. Finally, after waiting so long for a bigger screen without that awful sound bar on the Leaf... Links would be appreciated if anyone has them handy. :-)

I received an email from a Nissan Dealership where they talked about the Leaf coming in the middle of this month. Who knows if it's the truth, but that's the info I received. Either way, I'm sticking it out until the 2014s arrive.
